The eagerly awaited arrival of Clio Lounge to Bangor attracted hordes of customers upon opening in mid-January this year. As our local branch of the popular Loungers chain, it provides many options (such as vegan or gluten free meals) for those with limited diets or specific intolerances, which opens the narrow range of choices available in Bangor. The staff are attentive and show a passion for their work, and the food, though a little overpriced, is served generously and cooked well.

However, Clio Lounge’s downfall is through their more casual business model; the inability to book tables and lack of front of house staff mean that it is often overcrowded and customers are unable to get a table. Those who are able to find one can expect large wait times for food at around 30 mins when the restaurant is most busy with the restaurant also being extremely loud due to the overcrowding.
